Dear DPC participant,
would you like to try your hand at endoscopy of the bile ducts and pancreas? Would you like to learn about gastroscopy, ERCP, and EUS and practice on models? Then come to our hands-on endoscopy workshop organized by the Endoscopy Working Group of the German Society for Endoscopy and Imaging Techniques (DGEBV). The course is open to anyone interested, regardless of previous experience or field of specialization. Whether you have never used an endoscope before or are already skilled in endoscopy, we have something for everyone. The course is free of charge for members of the working group (free for the first year and cancellable at any time) and the DGEBV.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Number of participants: 20
Fee: €90 per person; if you are a member of the Endoscopy Working Group (membership free of charge in the first year, can be canceled at any time) or the DGEBV the workshop is free of charge
We are pleased to invite you to our radiology course focusing on the diagnostic and interventional assessment of pancreatic diseases.
The course will present current imaging techniques and diagnostic options for pancreatic carcinomas and pancreatic cysts, acute and chronic pancreatitis, and neuroendocrine tumors, and will explore these topics in depth using practical case studies. Interventional radiological procedures and techniques for diagnosis and therapy will also be presented.
The course is aimed at interested parties of all experience levels who would like to systematically expand and deepen their knowledge of pancreatic diagnostics.

“In the grant writing workshop, the process of writing a grant will be broken down into several steps, to provide a practical guideline for first-time applicants. Examples will be provided to illustrate the various steps. One section will concentrate on “paragraph structure”, an important concept in English writing, both in grants and in scientific manuscripts.”
Prof. Dr. Heike Pahl
Number of participants: 20
Location: ITZ Room 00.153; University Medical Center Freiburg, Hugstetter Str. 53, 79106 Freiburg

In this workshop, participants will gain an in-depth look into our Organoid Drug Testing Platform, developed by the FreezeO Team (https://www.uniklinik-freiburg.de/freeze-biobank/organoid-biobank.html) and the group of D. Ruess. We will introduce the concept of patient-derived organoids (PDOs), with a special focus on pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) models. Participants will observe how PDOs are cultured, prepared for drug screening, and analyzed using various imaging and automation technologies. The workflow includes conventional microscopy, live-cell imaging and the use of automated liquid handling systems, offering a comprehensive overview of our state-of-the-art approach to functional drug testing in translational cancer research.
